Unfortunately, Weazel News has decided to discontinue our planned YouTube project due to funding issues.
Don't worry, though, we may return to the idea, but as of right now a YouTube channel doesn't have the same impact for Weazel News as our website and Twitter accounts do. We hope that you understand.

Unfortunately, Weazel News will not be uploading our first YouTube video to our new YouTube channel on Sunday. The main reason for this is that we have been far too busy getting information for new news stories that we'll be discussing here over the next few days. We apologize for this, and we will try and make sure we get one out for the following Sunday.
Why are we doing this?We recently mentioned that Queen Bee's album would've gone platinum had it not been for unspecified complications pre-release of which we are unaware what they are. However, we never actually specified what we meant by that. When we said platinum, we were NOT referring to the real-life platinum records (1,000,000 sales). No, within Grand Theft Auto the thresholds are a little different and include different things... So lets take a look at what they are. What is counted as a sale?Only things which can be accurately recorded and measured will be counted. This includes:
Thresholds and Plaques
What do I get for surpassing thresholds?Other than bragging rights, there are some rewards that come with surpassing these thresholds. These are the rewards:
Who gets the rewards and how do they get them?To qualify to earn these rewards, you must be part of a music label or a business which deals in the trade and distribution of music. This unfortunately means that you cannot just upload a video to YouTube yourself and earn these rewards - you must be signed to a music or entertainment lebel. To register a label yourself, contact @GovernmentGTA on Twitter. If you're signed to a registered music label and you are eligible to earn these rewards, your label must contact @GovernmentGTA on Twitter. They will not contact you, you must contact them and present them with evidence (such as sales records or a link to a YouTube video) and they will grant you with your rewards. The rewards are granted and are legal property of the record label, though it is common practice (but not a requirement) for the label to gift the rewards to the artist(s). Do I need to pay for them? Some of the rewards are not given out for free and the label must cover the costs of some of the rewards. If you are eligible for a plaque, they cost $50 + delivery charges. If you are given a handwritten letter and a $100 rewards, you only pay the delivery charges for the letter and the $100 reward is sent via PayPal. Any charges for rewards are charged to the label and not the artist. I don't want certain rewards, do I still have to receive them?If you don't apply for a reward, you will not receive it. You do not need to apply for a reward. Furthermore, you don't need to apply for all the rewards you can. For example, if your music had 10,000 recorded sales, you could only apply for the diamond reward and the platinum reward. You don't need to apply for anything other than what you want.
Weazel News first started up all the way back in 2009. When we started, we were originally just a YouTube channel with no other forms of interactive media. Then, in 2015, we closed down our old YouTube channel due to falling ratings and moved into providing short stories on Twitter, instead. Very recently, in 2017, we created this very website that you're reading this one. We have received a rather large amount of traffic to this website in the few days since we've started it up - though we're unsure if that's because it's new or because of Queen Bee's album. If it turns out to be neither of them and our traffic to this website stays strong and steady then we'll keep this website going strong; updating regularly like we want to. We here at Weazel News want to make this website our main form of communication, and our Twitter and YouTube pages active but secondary to this website. Now, because of the recent increase in Weazel News' popularity, we are starting up a new YouTube channel that we wish to update with many of our stories in one show every Sunday, as well as occasional uploads in between those dates for extremely urgent news. This website will still be our main news source, though. All of our stories will be here with only some of them being present on our YouTube and Twitter accounts. We hope that you all enjoy our YouTube show and keep on supporting it, as we hope to keep on delivering interesting and compelling stories and articles to you on a regular basis. You can find our youtube channel HERE!! Our first news story on the channel will be on Sunday 07/09/2017. PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE IF YOU HAVE ANYBODY IN PARTICULAR YOU WANT TO HOST THE YOUTUBE SHOWS!!
AS LONG AS THEY ARE WITHIN OUR BUDGET WE WILL ABSOLUTELY TRY AND GET WHOEVER IS MOST REQUESTED TO HOST OUR SHOW!! |
